Todos los elfos del bosque viven en completa armonía con la naturaleza, pero Bellotina es la mejor. Su relación con los pájaros es muy peculiar. Es normal que haya por lo menos un nido en su pelo. Lleva consigo una jaula en la que los pájaros pueden desconectar del mundo un rato, disfrutar de unos momentos de intimidad, echarse una siesta, etc. El viejo Rufus se encierra todas las mañanas una hora dentro para leer tranquilamente el periódico.

All wood elves live in complete harmony with nature, but Bellotina is the finest. Her relationship with birds is really peculiar. It´s normal for her to have at least one nest on her hair. She carries a cage everywhere that birds use to disconnect themselves from the world for a while, to enjoy some moments of intimacy, to take a nap, etc. Old Rufus locks in it every morning for an hour to read the newspaper peacefully.

“Nadie confiaba en nosotras”, confiesa LollyBelly. “Hemos sido el hazmerreír del mundo vampírico durante siglos. Estamos hasta las narices. Ahora todos vienen a nosotros suplicando que desvelemos nuestra fórmula secreta”.

“No somos una ONG. Bastante ha decaído nuestra reputación como para ahora revelar nuestro secreto”, se lamenta Candynuts. “ ¡Chuparos esa, vampiros envidiosos!”

After many centuries of study of all kind of sweets of every corner of the world they achived to synthesize a substance that they feed of and, as they assure, they will be able to do without blood forever.

“Nobody believed in us”, complains Lollybelly. “We have been the laughing stock of the vampiric world for centuries. And now they all come to us begging us to reveal our secret formula”.

“We are not a NGO. We already had enough seeing our reputation ruined, so we are not going to reveal our precious secret”, complains Candynuts. “Go to hell, envious vampires!”

I have painted on the page of the fatty Augustus Gloop some chocolates, poor things! They are terrified to be eaten by the kid. I love the illustration of the little monster and his mother made by Quentin Blake.

También he dibujado sobre la página de Violet Beauregarde, la gran comedora de chicle. En este caso son un par de chicles que esperan pacientemente que la niña deje las chocolatinas y vuelva con ellos. El chicle dice "¡Te hemos echado mucho de menos, Violet!"

I have also painted on the page of Violet Beauregarde, the great gum chewer. There are two gums waiting patiently for the girl to leave the chocolate bars and go back to gum.

Y, como adoro el personaje de Willy Wonka, quería hacer algo realmente especial: ¡un muñeco de papel de Willy Wonka! Lo he metido dentro del libro para que se pueda usar como un marcapáginas.

And, since I adore the figure of Willy Wonka, I felt I had to do something really special, a paper doll of Willy Wonka! I put him inside the book to use it as a bookmark.

La señora Maeve, respetable sombrera e institutriz, lleva cientos de años enseñando las artes de la hechicería a las mujeres de la familia Decrépitus. Todas ellas se convirtieron en excelentes brujas, de ahí su desesperación con LILURA. Es incapaz de prestar atención más de cinco minutos. En vez de volar en una escoba, vuela en un demonio piruleta gigante con perilla que tiene un sentido del humor de lo más perverso. En vez de decir los hechizos, los canta, lo que provoca todo tipo de efectos inesperados... ¡Lilura es un desastre! Pero lo peor de todo, lo que no deja vivir a la pobre señora Maeve, es que Lilura no es capaz de ponérsela a ella de sombrero porque no le cabe con esos pelos de loca que tiene.

Mrs Maeve, a respectable hat and governess, has spent hundreds of years teaching the skills of sorcery to the women of the Decrepitus family. They all became excellent witches, that´s why LILURAexasperates her so much. She is unable to pay attention to anything more than five minutes. Instead of riding a broom, she rides a giant demon lollipop with a goatee and a naughty sense or humour. Instead of reciting her spells, she sings them, which causes all kind of unexpected effects... Lilura is just hopeless! But the worst thing that really kills poor Mrs Maeve is the fact that Lilura isn´t capable to put herself on as a hat because she doesn´t fit her with that crazy hair!

When Nico discovered that pixies are real and that he was the only one who could speak to them, he considered himself the luckiest kid in the world. The pixies considered theirselves very lucky too because -finally!- there was a little person who could see them! What Nico didn´t know is that pixies can be really exhausting: they are making up songs and riddles all the time... and even more now that they have brand new audience. They simply can´t stop, not even at night!

Perdón por las fotos borrosas, pero tenía la cámara rota, poco tiempo, y con la cámara vieja no fui capaz de sacar fotos mejores.

Mi querida Pili me pidió una muñequita de encargo para un regalo de cumpleaños: tenía que ser una enfermera morena, con el pelo largo y detalles en morado o azul. Y así surgió Estrella. Estoy muy contenta porque le gustó muchísimo a la cumpleañera. Podéis ver fotos AQUÍ del momento en que le dieron los regalos.

Estrella es una chica muy dulce, guapa y divertida que no tiene ni idea de lo dulce, guapa y divertida que es. Su amiga Pirucorazón va con ella a todas partes y la protege con todo su cariño.

Sorry for the blurred photos, but my camera was broken, I was in a rush and I couldn´t manage to take better pictures with the old camera.

My dear Pili asked me a custom doll for a birthday present: a brunette nurse with long hair and blue or purple features. And that´s how Estrella came up. I´m very happy because the birthday lady loved her. You can see HERE photos of her receiving the presents.

Estrella is a very sweet, beautiful and funny girl that has no idea of how sweet, beautiful and funny she really is. Her friend Lollipopheart goes always with her and keeps her from harm.

Clotilde always wanted to be a clown. While her friends wanted to look like movie stars, she put her clown make-up on and practiced her funny fall technique and other tricks. Her friends are not movie stars though they still have the obsession to look like them... but she really achieved to be a great clown!

Desdémona vive en un castillo inexpugnable en lo alto de una montaña remota y terroríficamente escarpada. Durante mucho tiempo lo ha llenado de trampas, laberintos y mecanismos secretos. Lo malo es que está tan bien escondido que nadie lo conoce, por lo que se aburre como una ostra. Sus sirvientes han empapelado las ciudades cercanas con folletos que indican la localización del castillo en un mapa y otras pistas. Ahora solo queda esperar a que la publicidad haga su efecto.

Desdemona lives in an impregnable castle in the top of a remote and scary precipitous mountain. She spent a lot of time filling it with traps, labyrinths and secret mechanisms. But it is so out of the way that no one really knows about its existence, so she is bored to death. Her servants have plastered the closest cities with fliers that show the place on the map and some other clues. Now they only have to wait until the advertising has the desired effect!

Me encantan los encargos especiales de muñecas. La maravillosa Pili me pidió una muñeca enfermera para el cumpleaños de una amiga suya que fuera castaña y con detalles de ninja o samurái, ya que su amiga hace artes marciales y es enfermera. ¡Qué reto tan divertido! Y así nació Bambú.

Bambú tiene una misión: luchar contra los malos. Es una enfermera samurái que está infiltrada en una banda secreta ninja para parar sus planes malignos. Es un hacha con los nunchakus y con sus habilidades con las artes marciales y sus conocimientos de enfermería no tiene rival.

I love making custom dolls. Wonderful Pili asked me to make a nurse doll for her friend´s birthday with brown hair and samurai or ninja features, since her friend is a nurse and also practices martial arts. What a fun challenge! And that´s how Bambu was borned.

Bambú has a mission: to fight the bad guys. She is a samurai nurse that is infiltrated into an secret ninja band to stop their evil plans. She is an ace at nunchakus and with her martial arts skills and her nursing knowledge she is just unrivaled.
